Iran has launched drones at Israel, an Israeli military spokesman said, following a suspected Israeli strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus that killed several senior Iranian officials.

In a statement late on Saturday, Daniel Hagari said that the drones would take several hours to reach Israel, and that the Jewish state would deal with them according to pre-prepared plans.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel was “ready for any scenario, both defensively and offensively”.
